Tynie Logistics

1. Acceptance of Terms

By requesting or using services provided by Tynie Logistics (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), the client (“Customer”) agrees to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

2. Scope of Services

Tynie Logistics provides medical courier and delivery services, including but not limited to:

  • Medical specimens
  • Pharmaceuticals
  • Medical supplies
  • Confidential documents
  • Small medical equipment

Services may be provided on a scheduled, on-demand, same-day, or STAT basis as agreed upon.

3. HIPAA Compliance & Confidentiality

Tynie Logistics complies with all applicable HIPAA regulations.
Clients agree to:

  • Properly package all materials
  • Accurately label items containing Protected Health Information (PHI)
  • Disclose any special handling or compliance requirements in advance

We are not responsible for compliance failures resulting from improper packaging or mislabeling by the client.

4. Packaging & Labeling Responsibility

The client is solely responsible for ensuring that all items are:

  • Securely packaged
  • Properly sealed
  • Labeled in accordance with applicable laws and regulations

Tynie Logistics is not responsible for damage, leakage, or contamination caused by inadequate packaging.

5. Prohibited Items

The following items will not be transported:

  • Illegal substances
  • Hazardous materials (unless explicitly agreed in writing)
  • Explosives or weapons
  • Unsecured biological hazards

We reserve the right to refuse service for any shipment deemed unsafe or non-compliant.

6. Chain of Custody

Tynie Logistics maintains a documented chain of custody from pickup to delivery.
Once delivery is confirmed:

  • Responsibility transfers to the receiving party
  • Any disputes must be reported within 24 hours

7. Delivery Times & Service Windows

All delivery times are estimated, not guaranteed.
Tynie Logistics is not liable for delays caused by:

  • Traffic
  • Weather
  • Accidents
  • Mechanical issues
  • Acts of God
  • Client-provided incorrect information

STAT or rush services prioritize urgency but are still subject to reasonable conditions.

8. Fees & Payment Terms

  • Pricing is based on distance, urgency, service type, and frequency
  • Invoices are due according to agreed payment terms
  • Late payments may incur fees or service suspension

Tynie Logistics reserves the right to require prepayment for certain services.

9. Cancellations & No-Shows

  • Cancellations must be made within the agreed notice period
  • Same-day or last-minute cancellations may be subject to a fee
  • Failed pickups due to client unavailability may still be billable

10. Insurance & Liability Limitations

Tynie Logistics maintains appropriate commercial insurance coverage.

However:

  • Liability is limited to direct damages only
  • We are not responsible for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
  • Claims must be reported within 24 hours of delivery

Clients with high-value shipments should notify us in advance.

11. Independent Contractor Status

Drivers may operate as independent contractors.
Nothing in these Terms creates an employer-employee, partnership, or joint venture relationship.

12. Right to Refuse Service

Tynie Logistics reserves the right to refuse or discontinue service for:

  • Non-payment
  • Unsafe or illegal requests
  • Repeated compliance violations
  • Abusive or inappropriate behavior

13. Indemnification

The client agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Tynie Logistics from any claims, damages, or losses arising from:

  • Improper packaging
  • Misrepresentation of shipment contents
  • Client negligence or non-compliance

14. Force Majeure

Tynie Logistics shall not be held liable for service failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, government actions, or emergencies.

15. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Maryland.

16. Modifications

Tynie Logistics reserves the right to update these Terms & Conditions at any time.
Continued use of services constitutes acceptance of updated terms.
